Wine Spectator 92 points
"Shows fine intensity, with the vivid structure driving its stone, lemon and mineral flavors. This is almost too powerful now, but the long, smooth finish reveals both the harmony and the beauty of this white. Best from 2011 through 2022." –BS

Wine Enthusiast 90 points
"The aroma says wood, and that’s what the taste confirms. To go with the wood, there is rounded apricot and peach-flavored fruit, open and rich. The wine has a youthful taut edge, finishing with the greatest acidity." R.V.  (5/1/2010)

Winemaker Notes

A dry 100% Chardonnay white wine with a golden colour and green glints that brings a mineral bouquet of nice floral touches. Its great presence in mouth is reinforced by fullness, power, and coolness that perfectly harmonize. The flavors are often on the floral tone of hawthorn with a hint of fresh hazelnuts.

Serve chilled (14°C). This wine can be enjoyed as an appetizer. Pouilly-Fuissé goes well with seafood (grilled lobster), fish (pikeperch, salmon, saint-pierre, sole and more), white meats (roasted pork), poultry (chicken in salted crust) and cheeses (saint-nectaire, charolle, comté and more).

Among the great list of meal courses that Pouilly-Fuisse by Domaine Du Chalet can be honestly enjoyed with are those suggested by winemakers Agnès and Bernard Léger-Plumet.: Atlantic codfish loin, Sole fillets

This wine should be kept in a cool place and, depending on the vintage, can be aged from 5 to 10 years.

Located on a hillside overlooking the village of Pouilly, with 8 hectares of vineyards this Domaine has been family owned and operated for the last hundred years. Today the Domaine is run by Doctor Bernard Léger-Plumet and his wife Agnes. They believe the beauty of their wines is derived directly from the vineyard. Their vines are old, and their soil rich and calcareous. Combine this with their delicate use of oak, and no added yeasts during fermentation, and the result is an extremely elegant and ageable Burgundy. These are wines that will please any connoisseur.
